Love
Above all love is the main ingredient of your day and the one thing that binds everything together. Let’s face it, it’s essentially the reason why we’re all there!
Beauty
The key to beauty in wedding photography is light. I paint with natural light and, where needed, subtly positioned flash to enhance the atmosphere.
The details
Many of the details can pass you by on your big day. It’s my job as your photographer to single out these crucial elements and capture them forever in an image.
A moment
A single moment, a sudden event, a second glance – I capture them all for you as an everlasting memory.
Fun
Fun is one of the key factors in your wedding. You will be having the time of your life with the people you love. I make sure you won’t forget it.
Memories
Your wedding images will be around long after the cake and flowers have gone. The best part of my job is being able to give you these memories for you to keep
Before the wedding
Picking a photographer is an important decision for your big day so it’s crucial you’re comfortable with whoever you choose. That’s why, where possible, I will meet you both a couple of times prior to your wedding so you can get to know me and I can find out more about your plans and understand the kinds of images you’ll want.
My wedding package includes a complimentary pre-wedding on-location portrait session. This is a great way for us to get to know each other so you know you will feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera on the day. It also gives you some lovely shots with the option to include these in a signature board or guest book.
If I haven’t worked with your wedding venue before I will arrange to visit it in advance in order to familiarise myself with the best shooting opportunities.
On the day
My typical day begins with the bride prior to the ceremony. Here I will capture some lovely shots from the early part of your day including the dress, shoes and flowers. This is also a good opportunity for me to get an early introduction to some of the key members of your wedding party, as well as allowing the bride to get used to me being around with the cameras.
From here I like to get to the wedding venue about 40 minutes before the ceremony and get good coverage of the groom, best man, ushers, and guests. I usually take a number of pictures during the ceremony, in an unobtrusive way which has been agreed with the venue/church.
The vast majority of my images are taken of real events as they unfold, resulting in a much more natural and engaging set of photographs. I do however take a selection of more formal, group photographs if requested after the ceremony as well as some relaxed portraits of the bride and groom. My coverage then continues right through until the dancing is underway in the evening.
After the wedding
Your wedding photos will be available to view online in a password-protected gallery from a link on my website within 10 days. Here your friends and family can purchase prints if they wish and if you have ordered an album you can select the final pictures you would like to see included. A full pdf proof of the book will then be available for your approval prior to printing.
Secure for years to come
The photos on my client server will remain in place for at least a year for you and your guests to view. Your day is also stored on a secure backup permanently should you choose to order additional prints, frames or books in the future.
