Tom and Becks were married a few weeks ago at Saint Mary’s in Kippax before we all went to the reception at Wood Hall in Wetherby. The weather stayed fine for us all day if not a little cold and windy. It did mean we had some amazing clouds which I love to feature in my bridal shots! Becks and Tom were fantastic all day and Becks looked amazing in her dress for the bridal images. Here is a selection of images shown on the evening slideshow tv.

A great pre-wedding shoot with Victoria & Mike at Roundhay Park near The Mansion on a very cold a snowy morning. Beautiful light is always the key to lovely natural photos and a pre-wedding shoot is a perfect way to get everyone comfortable in front of the camera and also for us all to get to know each other. A pre-wedding shoot is included with every wedding package and these guys have also opted to purchase an image filled guest book using images from the shoot. During the Pre-wedding shoot we also trialed a new product I now offer the e-shoot film. Rather than the normal 1 hour pre-wedding shoot we spent a couple of hours getting a mix of stills and video and product a short HD film for you to keep forever. Commercial Food Photographer Leeds | The Mansion mothers day menu | Food Photography

A few weeks ago I was delighted to be asked by The Mansion in Roundhay to photograph their menu for Mothers day. This shoot was a little different as it wasn’t a case of spending time on each dish to get everything just right. The shoot actually took place during the service its self! This ment that I had maybe two or three shoots of each dish before it was sent out again. this ment that the lighting etc had to be spot on every time quite a task. I am so happy with the result and so was the venue more importantly. I am one of the recommended wedding photographers for The Mansion in Roundhay so it was a fab opportunity to work with the chefs and team behind the scenes. It is easy to see why this is one of my favourite venues the quality of the food and service is just so good! Here is a selection of images taken during the evening service.

Destination Wedding Photographer Austria | Steph & Jonathan | Kitzbuhel Austria Wedding Photography

This wedding was kinder special. Steph and Jonathan met me at one of their friends weddings in 2012 and after seeing the evening slideshow they gave a call to discuss traveling to Austria in January of this year. I was sold from the word go. Mountain top winter wedding with cable car rides to the summit for photos! I am in! To say that it was cold was an understatement and at -11 at the top it was a task to get the shots we all wanted but we got there in the end! The day started with bridal prep at the hotel followed by a trip into the town center to the registry office for the official bit. Next we all walked up to the hill top where a blessing took place in the prettiest little church I have ever seen and the inside of it was stunning! After the blessing and group shots were sorted we headed to a chalet for champagne. We then headed to the ski lifts by horse and carriage to head to the top of the mountain. The view from the top was amazing and the sausages and mulled wine that met us there wasn’t half bad either! Because of the -11 deg temperature we could only go outside in short stints but both Steph and Jonathan did amazing braving the cold to get those must have bridal shots.

In the evening I felt like part of the family so thank you to everyone who was there for making me feel so welcome. Many of the images below were shown to the wedding party as part of a slideshow whilst we were in Austria. Every wedding booked with us includes a same day slideshow edit of selected wedding images as is shown an a TV at the evening reception.

Something new from us at Joel Skingle Photography this week. It is a great addition to your pre-wedding shoot and can be yours to keep just for you or alternative you may want to show it as part of your wedding day.

We can incorporate voice overs or an interview style section where you can tell the world what you love about each other and how you met. Here is something I had a little play with the other week whilst on a pre-wedding shoot. It should give you an idea of how it works and also so how a simple idea can create a great image. The way I work and what Joel Skingle Photography is all about it getting lovely natural relaxed images of you as a couple and the way I work with a couple on a pre-wedding shoot is the same as a wedding. Relaxed, unobtrusive and above all fun.

Dawn and Steve were recommended me by a friend who’s wedding I photographed last year which is always a great start to a successful working relationship. These two are getting married at Thorpe Park hotel and spa next month and I am so looking forward to capturing their day as I am sure you can see they look so in love. The weather the night before this pre-shoot was wintery to say the least and I had to check with the couple in the morning to see if they were still game. They were so bring on the snow!! When I got to Temple Newsam for the pre-wedding shoot there was fresh snow everywhere other than the speed tracks that had already been laid down by over eager sledgers of course. The morning light was beautiful and the snow acted as a huge reflector giving lovely lighting for them both. I don’t think they will mind me saying they were rather apprehensive about the pre-wedding shoot but now they have seen the images I know they can see the benefits and it was such fun!

The whole point in a pre-wedding shoot is to get use all comfortable in working together. A wedding is a long day and the time we have with just you as man and wife can be limited so by doing a pre-wedding engagement shoot before hand I know what you guys are like in front of the camera and you know what to expect. A pre-wedding shoot is included with all of my packages and is a great way to get excited about your day before it finally arrives.

I first met Steph and Jonathan at another wedding that they were guests at last year. They saw the evening slideshow of that wedding and two days later Steph contacted me enquiring to see if I would be prepared to travel to Kitzbuhel Austria to capture there Winter Mountain top wedding In January. I love international weddings and jumped at the chance. With all of the paper work sorted we met for the pre-wedding shoot and to discuss the big day abroad further. These two are a great couple and I loved the Pre-wedding shoot at Lyme park in Stockport. Originally being from Stockport myself I was really looking forward to seeing Lyme park again. The day was great though the weather wasn’t we dodged the rain drops and it was quite fitting we had to wrap up warm considering where we were going the next month! This wedding was exceptional and It was obvious that Jade and Joe had gone to so so much effort for their wedding day. This couple had also taken the weather and the time of year into consideration and had organised their private time with me into the running of the day which meant we would get to the venue before the guest in order to make the most of The Mansions stunning staircase and rooms. Everything about this wedding screamed class from the vintage buses to Jades stunning dress and of course The Mansion in Roundhay was the icing on the cake. I am a regular at The Mansion and I love to photograph there. The day started with Jades bridal prep and ended with the dancing. All my packages include all day coverage from bridal prep all the way through to the first dance.

Saltaire Wedding Photography | Pre-wedding Engagent | Faye & Matt

Great Pre-wedding shoot the other week with Faye and Matt. They are Getting Married early this year at Saltaire Church followed by a lovely reception at Hollins Hall.The day of the shoot was fresh and cold but as we worked out way around the park in Saltaire the sun began to burn through and we were left with frostiness combined with lovely golden lighting one of the reasons why mornings this time of year are my fave time for pre shoots. Looking forward to capturing and being part of their day in March. Here are a few images from the shoot.
